2021 Jeep Gladiator Review

2021 Jeep Gladiator Review

Living in the areas of Philadelphia, Center City, and South Jersey has its advantages, like being minutes away from the bustle of downtown, while also remaining just a quick distance from the shoreline’s sandy beaches.

It’s the best of both worlds, and as such, requires a vehicle that’s capable of keeping up. A vehicle like the 2021 Jeep Gladiator, perhaps?

The team here at Family Autos sure thinks so! In fact, we’d love to show you why we think this powerful pickup is a great fit through the following 2021 Jeep Gladiator review.

Get the scoop on this Jeep’s performance, technology, and spaciousness in the sections below!

Jeep Gladiator Utility: Built for the Ultimate Beach Day

2021 Jeep Gladiator Fuel Efficiency

No matter which Jersey beach is your stomping ground, you’ll have the performance, strength, and power to make the most of your days in the sun.

It all starts underneath the hood, where drivers will experience one of two commendable engines. Coming standard is the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine, which generates 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6L is also decently fuel-efficient, bringing an EPA-estimated 17 city and 22 highway MPG.

However, if you’re looking for an uptick in fuel efficiency, you’ll love the available 3.0L EcoDiesel. This engine—producing 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque—nets an EPA-estimated 22 city and 28 highway MPG.

Looking at these two engines, you’ll notice they both supply ample towing, 7,650 pounds and 6,500 pounds, respectively. That’s more than enough to haul a small to mid-size fishing boat.

2021 Gladiator: Space for Everything & Everyone

With their large truck beds, pickups have long been regarded for their vast amounts of cargo space. The 2021 Jeep Gladiator offers this same space, but with an added twist: There’s equally enough room for the folks who choose to ride with you.

Up front, both driver and passenger will enjoy 42.8 inches of headroom and 41.2 inches of legroom. In the back, the same 42.8 inches of headroom joins 38.3 inches of legroom for a rather comfortable second-row seating experience.

The Gladiator’s cabin also houses various organizational compartments throughout, including an optional adjustable rear seat with lockable storage. Simply lift up the rear seat to reveal this removable bin—it’s the ideal space to store valuables such as camera equipment.

Jeep Gladiator Technology: Staying Entertained, Informed, & Safe

2021 Jeep Gladiator Technology

It’s time we talked tech–more specifically, the type of technology that keeps you and your passengers entertained, informed, and best of all, safe and sound.

While the Gladiator features three available Uconnect® systems, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Connecting your compatible smartphone to standard Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ brings integration to a whole new level, showcasing your favorite applications right on the vehicle’s touchscreen display.

Here’s a fun tip: Use smartphone integration to choose the perfect playlist, then take it to the campsite with Jeep’s optional removable Bluetooth® speaker. Which, by the way, charges while inside your pickup, so you’ll always be ready to rock.

Speaking of camping, if you happen to be towing a small trailer or RV, Jeep’s Trailer Sway Control System can help keep things in line. It’ll detect trailer sway and respond by applying brake pressure to each individual wheel.
