2021 Jeep Compass Review

2021 Compass vs 2021 Rogue: Performance & Off-Roading

2021 Red Jeep CompassWhen you peek under the hood at either of these SUVs, you’ll find impressive equipment that makes driving on and off the roads a joy. The Compass and Rogue boast standard engines that generate over 175 horsepower as well as available all-wheel drive systems for extra traction and control, especially on rough terrains.

If you’re looking to take to the trails, however, the Jeep Compass might be the SUV for you. Jeep is known for its off-roading prowess and with the Jeep Compass Trailhawk, that is exactly what you’ll get. With its Trail Rated® badge, you can easily maneuver challenging terrains and even go water fording. This is all made easier with the available Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System.

This feature gives you multiple driving modes to choose from like Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud, and Rock. The Nissan Rogue features a similar feature, but might not help you test the limits the way you want to. Though it comes with Auto and Snow modes as well, it only features an “Off-Road” mode, limiting its capability.

Compass vs Rogue: Technologies

2021 Jeep CompassA suite of innovative and modern technologies is found in the Jeep Compass and Nissan Rogue, giving you the power to stay connected, entertained, and safe while setting forth on adventure.

Each offers advanced multimedia systems with a dashboard touchscreen that you can connect your smartphone through Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You’ll also find rearview cameras in each, helping to make parking a breeze.

However, the 2021 Compass takes parking guidance a step further with the available ParkSense® Rear Park-Assist System. This feature utilizes four sensors to let you know when there’s an obstacle in your way while in reverse, so you can also avoid parking lot mishaps. Though the 2021 Rogue has a similar sonar feature, it’s a little less advanced.

Music lovers will also find solace inside the Compass thanks to the available Alpine® Premium Sound System. With nine high-end speakers, an 8-inch subwoofer, and a 506-watt amplifier, your on-the-road playlists will never sound better. The Rogue also offers an upgraded sound system, but only offers a total of six speakers.
