Local Spotlight: Filitalia International

Founded in 1987 to celebrate, promote, and preserve Italian heritage and custom, Filitalia International has changed the way individuals learn about their backgrounds. This non-profit achieves this by encouraging the study of everything Italian from the language to its history and by providing events for the community to enjoy. Filitalia, which translates into the love of Italy, is truly what they exude.

Filitalia International Programs

With a plan to help the youth in the Italian American community, Filitalia International has several programs that bring people together. One of which is teaching the Italian language in their culture-filled classes.

They offer 10-week sessions to help understand and speak the language as well as teach you about popular and traditional themes and culture. All skill levels are available for children and adults.

They also offer special scholarships to highly dedicated and passionate students who wish to peruse their Italian studies further. In addition, Filitalia International also has an international exchange program in the US and Italy to help young members understand Italian culture more and find career opportunities abroad.
