The Ram 1500 is available with an extended-cab model, the Quad Cab, or a Crew Cab model. With the Quad Cab, the Ram 1500 has plenty of passenger space with 40.9 inches of front headroom and 39.2 inches of rear headroom. There’s also an abundance of legroom with 40.9 inches in the front seat and 39.2 inches in the back seat. The total passenger volume of the Quad Cab is 117.2 cubic feet.

The Crew Cab has a little more passenger room. The front offers 40.9 inches of legroom and 40.9 inches of headroom, while the second row offers 45.2 inches of legroom and 39.8 inches of headroom. Passengers also have ample space to stretch out across the seats. The total passenger volume of the Crew Cab is 132.4 cubic feet, which makes it a great choice for taking passengers or clients around town.

The Ram 1500 gives you a choice between either a 5-foot 7-inch or 6-foot 4-inch truck bed. Both trucks beds measure 60 inches at the tailgate, 66.4 inches at their widest point, and 51 inches between the wheel wells.

Overall, the 5-foot 7-inch bed has a cargo box that stretches 67.4 inches. This gives it a total cargo capacity of 53.9 cubic feet. With the 6-foot 4-inch bed, the cargo area is slightly larger. It measures 76.3 inches long and features 61.5 cubic feet of cargo room.

You’ll also be able to get closer to your cargo and add some additional space with the Ram 1500’s great features. For starters, the multi-function tailgate includes 60/40 split doors that can either swing open or drop down like a traditional tailgate.

To give you extra space, you can also add the RamBox Cargo Management System. It turns the walls of your truck bed into storage compartments.

The entry-level engine for the Ram 1500 is an impressive V6 that delivers 305 horsepower. The next step up is a 3.0L EcoDiesel engine that offers 260 horsepower. You can also choose between a couple of V8 engines that deliver 395 horsepower, or a high-performance V8 that can produce an amazing 702 horsepower.

Depending on the configuration and setup, the Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds and haul a payload up to 2,300 pounds.

While all that power can help you haul heavy cargo and get through the elements, the Ram 1500’s impressive ground clearance lets you get up, over, or through anything that stands in your way.  The standard ride height is 8.2 inches, but the more off-road ready suspension gives you an 11.8-inch ground clearance.
